Wonderful antique Victorian silver engraved double heart Mizpah brooch, with a lovely bow design, and gilded rose gold letters and ivy leaves. The brooch has the old "C" hook clasp and tube pin assembly. The brooch has English hallmarks, stamped with a lion, an anchor, and the date letter is 'a'. The makers mark is WCM for William Clark Manton. This means that the brooch is sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, and is dated 1900. The brooch has scratching as expected. There is a chip to the letter H. We have given the brooch a light clean.
