Antique Victorian dome shaped tortoiseshell brooch inlaid with gold and silver piqué work. Diameter 3.1 cm / 1.2 inches.

This beautiful fine quality brooch has the most incredibly detailed piqué work, which has been done by hand.

It has the old "C" hook clasp and tube pin assembly. It is in very good condition.

This superb highly decorative tortoiseshell brooch would have been worn as Victorian mourning jewellery after Prince Albert passed away.
