Antique Victorian gold plated french jet mourning locket with ornate surround, set with oval french jet and a lovely brass shield centrepiece.

It hangs on a gold plated Victorian belcher chain with a slide clasp. This is a quality chain which is soldered on alternate links.

The black glass has scratching and chips to the edge, the gold plating has wear as expected.

The hinge works well, and the locket closes tightly. We have given the locket and chain a light clean.

This is a beautiful and quality antique locket and chain from the Victorian era.
