Fabulous Trifari silver tone necklace with rhinestone baguettes, and featuring a rhinestone pendant with a teardrop tremblant. Circa 1950s.

Both the necklace and pendant are in very good condition. This vintage Trifari necklace would make a wonderful special occasion or wedding piece.

Trifari was born in Naples, Italy, but emigrated to New York in 1902. Gustavo Trifari began his own jewellery business in 1918 when he met Leo Kraussman. They were joined by Carl Fishel, in 1925. In 1975 the company was bought by Hallmark, and since then has been taken over by several companies. In 2000 production was finally moved overseas which brought an end to high quality signed Trifari jewellery.
